Brave?

You guys are brave” is what many people have told us when we talk about our plans to travel the country. To be honest, we are scared to be traveling the country. We have somewhat of a plan of where we are going but we have no dates selected. We have no camp sites booked and no idea where we will be staying night to night. We have a budget that we pray will be enough to cover us for the next six months. There are so many unknowns right now that it makes it hard for us to feel brave.

We are the type that has always had a five-year plan, paid all our bills on time, and showed up to a commitment five minutes early to be on time. Don’t get us wrong, we are extremely excited and grateful to be able to go on this great adventure but nervous as heck we might fail. The thought of failure has always been a big fear of ours.

We are learning that “with great risk comes great reward” -Thomas Jefferson

We are going to jump into this adventure with both feet and see where it takes us. Even if this adventure takes us right back home we at-least tried and that is brave.

One response to “Brave?”

  1. Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” Too many people reach old age regretting the things they’d wanted to but never dared. You dared. Have a great trip.
