Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

This quote is perfect for the journey we are about to take, although we do not want it to be too short. Our story goes…We first met in a bar called The Barn in Amesbury, MA about 5 years ago. Three years ago, we connected again and have been busy having fun, and building our life together. We never imagined we would be about to take a 6-12-month journey together. We have rented our house, quit our jobs, sold items that no longer bring us joy, and planned our route to the west. This was a BIG decision for us as we are your typical 9-5 people who valued our jobs so much that they came before anything else in our lives. No, we did not win the lottery, and no, we are not independently wealthy. We have saved and saved for the future over the years and our future is today. We have a loving and growing family, friends who love us, a house, everything someone would want except we have no idea what the future will bring. We are saving for someday and someday is now. The past year has taught us that life is short, and your health is more important than any job or items we may possess. We know the journey we are about to take is not going to be easy, and it will be a complete change of pace for us. The lessons we will learn will make us happier, healthier and richer overall.
